Jacky Chow was born and grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He first graduated in Graphic Design and worked as an entertainment press photographer before he went to base in Hong Kong, China.

Jacky stayed in Hong Kong and China in his early twenties. During that time, he stumbled upon Chinese Rainbow Calligraphy and became deeply interested. He spent lots of time practising and improving his skills after returning to Malaysia. It was only after many, many years of practice that he was able to attain this level of mastery.

After returning to Malaysia in 1993, he opens his children art studio to teach art to normal children and children with learning disabilities. Jacky further his study in Early Childhood Education and majoring in Special Education. At the same time, he starts taking jobs for demonstrations in all kind of event and celebration, he also collaborates with event companies to demonstrate and promote Chinese rainbow calligraphy in annual dinners, parties, open day events or celebrations at shopping malls. His work had great feedback and highly recommended for collection by many collectors. Jacky has been invited to perform demonstrations on the Chinese Rainbow Calligraphy at various private functions and school’s events throughout Malaysia in the past twenty-seven years.

Jacky is presently focusing on providing live demonstrations for corporate and private events, product launches, outdoor events, interaction shows, media events, exhibitions and tradeshows, shopping malls festive celebrations roadshows, etc.  Jacky also provide private workshop for this ancient calligraphy art and watercolour painting.
